The amount of misinformation about what makes someone trans or not is disturbing. So is the apparent lack of fact checking done by certain trans bloggers like Dirt.

I have been in transition for 14 years now, and have had the privilege of meeting many of the members of the trans-community across the country. Back in the early days of my transition I was honored to meet and spend time with people like Jamison Green, Patrick Califia, Matt Rice, and Leslie Feinberg.

I have been the "big brother" to many trans folk.....both FTM and MTF. I have helped to guide them through the process, held their hands through the rough patches, and assisted them in becoming who they really are. I plan to continue to help when called.

And, even though I have little spare time in which to devote to reading the numerous blogs out there on trans-everything....I will devote as much time as is needed to educate those that truly need it. To rid the world of misinformation about the trans experience is my new mission. I will not tolerate our community coming under attack....even from one of our own.
